Jessica's 26th Birthday
I turned 26 today! For my birthday, my parents came and took us out to my favorite resturaunt, Samurai 21! We bought the girls' new outfits and made them matching jewelery. When were done eating, the waiter brought out some yummy cheesecake for my birthday :) After that, we all threw coins into the fountain and made wishes, as is tradition when we eat there. Then we came home and had cake and opened presents. I got scrapbook stuff, a beautiful jewlery box, and a cricut! It was a wonderful birthday, to bad I'm closer to 30 now than 20 :( ;)

Jessica's hospital stint
In the middle of April Jessica hurt her back really bad and had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and was admitted for 4 days! She had to use a walker for about a month, and finally got an epidural steroid injection... OUCH!!!!
She's doing okay now, but still has a lot of physical therapy and strenghthening to do before she's back to normal :(
Easter egg hunt
Easter Morning (Saturday)
We celebrated Easter on Saturday so we could all go to church on Sunday and remember what life is really all about... Jesus. The kids found thier eggs and thier baskets and I found mine, and Justin found his (although I have no pictures of Justin finding his :( )... It was a fun morning and we all ate a lot of candy :)

Coloring Easter Eggs
Fiesta Fun
I had a bad day at work, so for a surprise, Justin sent me on a scavenger hunt all over town and we had lunch and then the scavenger hunt continued until we finally ended up at Fiesta Fun! He made my day so much better after that, he's such a wonderful husband! Ali and I went on the 'big race-cars' as Ali says, and Sam was being a monkey hanging on the bars :)
Ali's 1st baseball game
Ali's 1st baseball practise
Ali's accident
Ali decided that she was a big girl today and she didn't need a helmet to ride her friends scooter... Well here's the result of that! She biffed it BIG time and scraped up her nose, got a fat lip and got her hands filthy when she fell into a big pile of rocks! She had to 'claw' her way out of the rocks and came home bawling, but when I told her we were going to take pictures, she pulled out of it and grinned for an hour! She's such a pre-madonna ;)

Petroglyphs
My parents, and brother's family and mine all went hiking out to the Petroglyph's in Santa Clara after church on sunday. We had to drive up a dirt road and then hop (literally) a fence to get to the trail. :)
Poor Justin and Sam... Sam had to sit in that uncomfortable 'seat' while Justin had to 'haul' him the whole way. We made Sam wear the girls' hat so he wouldn't get sunburned ;)

On the very long and very steep hike, Ali found a little grave in the middle of the trail :( We dedicated it to all the little animals.

We saw where the floods from a few years ago had carved thier way through the valley below.

My mom and all the 'grandkids' were scared to peek off the edge of the cliff, but I dared them too. Here's proof world! Mom really did peek over!!!!

Sam kept his hat on for about 2 seconds and loved the scary heights and the nice breeze. (and being carried everywhere of course) ;)

The valley stretched out forever beneath the cliff we were on. It was a humbling experience to know that Native Americans actually lived down there and that we were walking in the same places that they did!

Some people tried to make a 'dinasour' face I guess. I thought it was cute sitting out there all alone :)

It was so peaceful that even the cacti were giving the peace sign! ;)

When we saw these pictures in the paper, they looked gigantic! With nothing to reference them too, I guess that's bound to happen though. So for all of u, I had Justin stand next to them so we could all see how big they actually are :)

My brother Scott thinks that this one is a spaceship. What do you think?... I think it's them looking over the cliffs at their 'farm' and thier teepee's. It looks like a grid of each different food, with a river at the bottom, and thier teepee's under the river to me... One of them even has a fire going inside thier teepee, but that's just my theory :)

Mandi had been scared the entire time we were up there that she was going to fall off the edge, so she found a 'huge hole' according to her, and showed us how brave she was by jumping over it! :)

On our hike back, we ditched the path and walked straight through the wilderness. We dropped down into an old dried up ravine and found a t.v.! Along with a lot of bullet holes and broken beer bottles ;)

And right next to our car, we found a horseshoe buried in the dirt. Justin's pointing at it with his blinding yellow shoes ;) What good luck! And what a fun Sunday!!!!
If u ever want to go see the petroglyphs for yourselves, just give me a call or leave me a message and I can let u know how to find them :) There was so much more to see, but I couldn't post all my pic's or we'd be here all day! ;)

Our family theory is that when the Native American mom's got frustrated with thier children, they would send the children up here to play and that's why we have Petroglyph's! It was the childrens' way of having fun, I mean don't u think it would be fun to carve cool pictures out of this beautiful rock? :)
The sad truth though, is that some people have no respect for history. The bird on the right is graffiti carving, u can tell that it's a fake by the color and the 'mess up' marks around the bird. The cow head on the left however is authentic.

Update
I've been 'out of commision' for awhile while dealing with back problems, but there is good news! I am now able to sit in my computer chair, so I have sorted through all of my recent photos, catagorized, and filed them, so now I can start blogging again :) Please be patient, as I will try my best to put as much new info on a day as possible. I don't know how much I will be able to do, so look forward to the new stuff :)
